Wheldrake Village Hall Fields - Goal Safety
(Nathan Kruse 29/10/2012)
Recently the club purchased some new goals, and you may have seen these down at the playing field. When these are not in use they are locked into the ground and fastened together. At last weeks club committee meeting it was mentioned that a number of boys had been seen tampering with and playing inside the goals. Could you please ask you boys if they are out and about playing on the field that they don not go near the goals. Firstly, these are expensive pieces of equipment (in excess of £1000 per set), and we don't want them to be damaged. Additionally if boys get caught up in the goals and they fall on top of them, they are likely to be be seriously hurt as they are very heavy. Many thanks.
